Skills for Top Players include the ability to execute the game fundamentals flawlessly, such as efficient use of resources (most important – no floating, no idle units, etc.), a clear understanding of each unit and their abilities, the maps, flanking, fighting in cover and picking the right fights, knowing when to retreat and attack, unit micromanagement (infantry/tanks), a solid macro perspective of the game as it unfolds (flow of the game), and proper doctrine/company/tactic/regiment selection and so forth.
